Subject: Al Jazeera America at NCTA's "The Cable Show"
To: mitchell.davis@expertclick.com
Hello — It's a busy week for us at Al Jazeera America. Not only are we continuing to welcome talented new team members, like eight-time Emmy Award–winning journalist Josh Bernstein, who joins us as an on-air investigative reporter, but we also hosted a booth at the National Cable and Telecommunication Association's premier annual event, "The Cable Show."
The NCTA event is where distributors can sample the best of the best in content. And this year's attendees were able to learn all about what's to come from Al Jazeera America from our executive team and on-air personalities, pick up some cool Al Jazeera America smartphone stands, and even catch a ride on our branded shuttle bus.
Michael Viqueira (White House correspondent), Natasha Ghoneim (Miami bureau correspondent), Tony Harris (Al Jazeera English anchor), Lisa Fletcher (host, "The Stream"), Josh Bernstein (on-air investigative reporter), Neal Scarbrough (executive producer of sports)
You can see more pictures and read our blogs from the show on our website.
In addition to our booth on the exhibit floor, we also took part in the Hiring Our Heroes job fair. The job fair is part of a U.S. Chamber of Commerce initiative to recruit 1 million veterans into jobs at top companies. We met fantastic candidates and had some great conversations about Al Jazeera's legacy of producing award-winning programming.
Plenty of positions are still open, so be sure to check out our jobs page for all of the listings.
That's it for now, and you can be sure we'll be in touch soon, with other major milestones as we gear up for launch later this summer.
